Q & A with Nicole
DO YOU HAVE A ROLE MODEL OR LIFE MOTTO?
For me, role models are many of my friends who go their own way. I can learn a lot from them. I am also impressed by Iris Apfel, who is still a style icon at 90+.
What was your most powerful learning moment?
My training in hypnotherapeutic communication, teaching me how important the voice is.
WHAT CAN YOU NOT LAUGH ABOUT?
Statements that are contemptuous of people are repugnant to me.
What was the last beautiful thing you bought?
I like handmade things, most recently a lanyard made of gray-green beads.
What is that one book that will stay with you forever?
Through the Wilderness to the Stars (Joanna Stratton).
WHEN DO YOU FEEL ALIVE?
Being alone in the woods when it rains.
WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE IN?
That every human being has the power to change.
What is your peaceful place?
Gardens.
What was your last good deed?
A good deed is something I do without expecting anything in return. Today, I helped a successful female entrepreneur gain visibility by connecting her with the right person.
What was your last dream abaout?
Travelling to the United States, where most of my family lives.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MUSIC?
Jazz.
BEGINNING OR FINISHING? WHICH IS HARDER?
These are qualities of one and the same energy: change. In that sense, for me it’s not a question of either/or, but how I deal with change and what it triggers in me emotionally.
