Dr. Anne Bäro

 

Anne is 34 years old and Operational Excellence Manager at the digital strategy consultancy OMMAX with a focus on organizational development, corporate culture as well as personal development and leadership excellence.

Previously she was Executive assistant to Dr. Arend Oetker at the Dr. Arend Oetker Holding GmbH & Co. KG, psychological consultant for personnel selection and management development at Deutsche Bahn and research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin. 

Anne was the first research assistant to receive her doctorate at the Chair of Business Psychology and Leadership at HHL. Her dissertation, Psychological Perspectives on Public Value Creation, focuses on the interplay between individual purpose, public value and leadership. She completed her doctorate with a fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School. 

Anne studied Psychology at the Free University of Berlin and at York University in Toronto, Canada. 

She lives with her husband Sebastian, her son Leo (2), her daughter Fritzi (4 months) and her dog Emmi in Icking near Munich. She loves good food, the mountains and espresso.

A. Believe in yourself and others will, too.

Q. WHAT EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE STANDS OUT IN YOUR MEMORY?

A. Learning to read and write with Ms. Mäuer made a lasting impression on me.

Q. WHAT CAN YOU NOT LAUGH ABOUT?

A. Child poverty.

Q. WHAT’s Something beautiful that you bought yourself recently?

A. A fridge magnet that reminds me of our fantastic vacation in Italy several times a day.

A. Currently the photo album that my mom gave to me. But I look forward to the day when I pass it on to my children.

A. When I can make a difference and change something (hopefully for the better).

A. Life after death.

A. Wherever I am with my family.

A. I spontaneously bought a man some baby clothes for his newborn grandchild in Egypt.

A. That someone else feeds the baby at night.
